0:00 In this video we’ll cover how to pass Google Business Profile video verification. This is the updated 2025 guide. Watch through once, then follow along when you record. 0:22 Preparation: The video must be one continuous take. Google suggests 1–5 minutes, but 30–60 seconds is best. Avoid showing sensitive information, bank details, or other people’s faces. The video must match the location entered in your profile. 1:03 For physical locations: show the exterior, signage, street number, and unlock the building. For service businesses: show street signs, landmarks, branded vehicles, or your shop. 1:33 Your business information must match your profile. For example, don’t say you’re a lawn service if your profile says plumber. Prove you’re the owner/manager by unlocking a branded truck, garage, or shop. 2:00 Use your mobile phone. Log in at google.com with the correct account, then go to business.google.com. Click Get Verified, then choose Business Video. 3:08 Review requirements: show surrounding area, street signs, neighboring businesses, and signage. For service businesses, unlock a branded vehicle or van. 3:48 Record near your service area, not far away. Google sees the video metadata. Film a street sign, mailbox, or recognizable landmark, then show your branded vehicle, tools, or license. Unlock the vehicle to prove ownership. 5:54 Do a practice run. Plan to capture all three requirements in one recording. Start outside, capture surroundings, then move inside if applicable. 6:22 Click Start Recording, allow camera and mic, film, then stop. If satisfied, upload. If not, retry. 6:54 If the video won’t upload, shorten it. Videos longer than 90 seconds may fail. Try 45 seconds. If denied, avoid sensitive info and provide more proof. 7:58 Follow these steps and keep it under a minute for best results. If issues persist, use Google support (though it can be slow). This process has helped many clients get approved, and it should help you too.
